Trump clinches third primary victory with 74% in the US Virgin Islands

Donald Trump scored his third straight primary contest victory on Thursday as the U.S. Virgin Islands count showed the former president with 74 percent of the vote.

Nikki Haley again lost to Trump, earning just 26 percent in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The ex-president is also expected to soar to victory in Nevada’s caucuses on Thursday evening with nearly no competitors except for longshot hopeful and Texas-based businessman and pastor Ryan Binkley.

Trump lauded his Virgin Islands victory as he landed in Las Vegas, Nevada to attend a caucus night party at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino.

‘I want to thank you all. We had a tremendous victory,’ Trump said during brief virtual remarks played for those gathered in St. Thomas to hear the results.

‘We expected to win, but we didn’t expect to win by that much. You are incredible people I will never forget.’

It comes on the heels of a very newsy day including a Justice Department report deeming President Joe Biden too old to be charged in the classified documents case and Supreme Court oral arguments that suggest some states are overstepping in trying to keep Trump off the 2024 ballot. 

‘Great news! As we are landing in Nevada, getting ready to go to Caucus, betting slots online casino word just came that we overwhelmingly won the Virgin Islands Caucus, ALL Delegates, with almost 75% of the Vote,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social on Thursday evening.

There is some confusion over the number of delegates that the Islands will be sending to the convention this summer in general, but Trump is poised to take all of them with his sweeping Thursday victory.

Officials in the U.S. Virgin Islands say they plan to send nine deleages and six alternatives to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in July.

But the RNC claims they only have four delegates.
